INFECTED Graphic novel page 21 INFECTED Graphic novel page 14

Awww, snap! Check out two full pages from the INFECTED graphic novel, available July 9. Published by IDW Publishing and drawn by the phenomenal Chad Minshew, this bad boy looks amazing. This is issue #1 of 5. Click on the images to see them larger on my Flickr page.

What's that? You want it for your very own? The Diamond product code is MAY120450. Go to comicshoplocator.com, type in your zip code, find a store near you, then call and request it.

If you're asking, "hey Dark Øverlord, what's the best way for us to help you with this?" The answer is buy it in print from your local shop. Why? Because it increases awareness with the comic shop owners and workers, who are then more likely to hand-sell the book to others. The better the comic does, the more likely you are to see INFECTED as a movie. More and more, Hollywood makes movies from comic books. It makes sense, because it's a visual medium that they can instantly see as a movie.

The INFECTED graphic novel should also be available electronically with the IDW Publishing app (the app is free, the comic will not be), and should also from ComixOlogy

SWEEEEEEET!! Just as graphic as I pictured in my mind as I read it the first time!!!!  Made the hair on the back o fmy neck stand on end!  A series of 5 will be an excellent way of stretching the story to the full length it deserves without cutting out ANYTHING!!!

I walked into my local comic shop and asked the clerk the following in a louder than normal voice. "Will you be stocking the Infected graphic novel that is being dropped on July 9th?... Yes, the Infected graphic novel written by the New York Times best selling author, Scott Sigler. He's a closer personal friend of mine... It is some top notch work, probably almost as good as his Glaxtice Football series... Thanks for looking into it for me. I'm sure my good close friend, Scott Sigler, the New York Times best selling author would appreciate that as well." Never let it be said I cannot shill with the best of them... or draw a crowd of onlookers.

Sweet sweet sweet! I will definitely be picking this puppy up. Having said that, I gotta be a stickler for details and point out a couple of inconsistencies in the panels above. Dew is supposed to be an aged, balding Vietnam vet, so he'd likely be in his sixties, but the guy we see here looks much younger and he has a full head of hair. Also, that room he's examining the corpse in looks more like what I would imagine the inside of a Margomobile looks like than the inside of the BSL-4 emergency containment tents that Margo & friends were using in Infected.

Eh oh well, "get over it", right? Still can't wait to see this story on the big screen.
