Horromedy

Tremors - What a great movie. I loved watching Mr. Keaton (from Family Ties) as a gun-crazed hunter. Big fun, comedy horror. Shaun of the dead is a classic, too. Nice job, FDO!

But ghostbusters, a horror movie? Hmm. I guess so. Your stuff is so much more horrific I've been desensitized to soft core horror. Heh. Is that a bad thing?

Hell yes it's horror ...

We're talking the end of the world, cats and dogs, living together, real Old Testament stuff. Fo sho' GHOSTBUSTERS is horror. Horror/comedy, to be sure, but still.

Is there a distinction

between Horrific Comedy and Comedic Horror? Hmm...

I would say so

I personally would put most Ben Stiller movies and anything with Sara Silverman in the Horrific Comedy category. But that's just my person opinion.

How about

Nothing But Trouble with Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase? Would that fall into this category?

Army of Darkness is one of my favorites also

Pretty much anything Bruce does I like. But the sheer hysteria of the comedy of the Evil Dead II make it overall favorite. Try and count how many times you see Freddie Krueger's glove in the different scenes. You gotta remember Evil Dead (I) was actually meant to be a true horror flick. Later they spoofed it with Evil Dead II. I've seen the making of EDII and its pretty entertaining in itself!

Oh, MAN is that movie bad!

Twowire, I got to disagree on that one. It's horror/comedy, but Top 10 material? Not even with a cameo by Humpty Hump.

LOL!

I will have to agree with you on that one. Its been so long since I've seen it all I can remember is laughing at Dan Aykroyds nose!

Another good flick

I didnt care to much for the others in the series. I consider the first house the best.

How about "Hot Fuzz"

also with Simon Pegg & Nick Frost?  Lots of blood/death/suspense but still funny.

A bad movie that could have been a runner up.

I wish I had thought of this earlier, but Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes could have been a runner up. Hopefully this film will make it onto a Killer Plants or Low Budget Horror list.

Severance

Mostly good choice, but how could Severance not be in the top 10? Blood and horror happening to the most deserving of victims. Probably my No.2 after Shaun of the Dead, but that's probably because I'm writing from the right side of the pond!
