This blog, podcast and website focuses mostly on happy things. We don't get into politics here, don't talk religion, and with a few minor exceptions, don't enter into negativity in any way. But once in awhile, real life finds us. This time, there's no jokes.

Long-time Junkies and podcast fans probably know the name Tee Morris. In addition to being one of the first three fiction podcasters in the history of mankind, he is an author of fiction and non-fiction (most notably Podcasting for Dummies, the bible of podcasting that I recommend to everyone), he is a co-founder of and an absolute die-hard Krakens fan (if you've seen him, you've probably seen him in his Kraken's jersey -- he's just that dedicated to the orange and the black).

Tee's wife Natalie passed away yesterday. Very shocking and unexpected. Tee now finds himself dealing with not only the tragedy of losing a spouse, but funeral expenses and the hard fact of being a single dad raising a seven-year-old daughter (known as "Sonic Boom"). Dark Øverlord Media has contributed to a fund that will help defray funeral costs and hopefully help cover other costs that will come up in the weeks and months to come. If you know of Tee, have enjoyed his stories, know how hard he's worked to champion free podcast fiction, know what a cheerleader he's been to everyone that puts pen to paper, consider chipping in a few bucks to help the effort. When you look the size of the podcast-fiction space, a few people contributing a few bucks here and there can help with a tiny aspect the Morris family's tough time.

For those of us who've been there from the beginning

Tee's name has been synonymous with podcast fiction and podiobooks.  Honestly, it's the least I can do.

This is just so right to do.

This is what separates you from the pack. Helping Tee with a bit o $ is a way I can thank all the people who have helped me over the years. This is the very best side of humanity. Thanks for doing what is right.

Comment on FB, But Wanted to Comment Here, Too

I've just made my contribution. It's amazing how much has been raised already. It's nice to see that there is still caring in this world. I'm sorry for his loss and I'll be keeping him in my thoughts.

Thanks for posting this Scott - I haven't listened to anything Tee has done, but his reputation precedes him - It's the least I can do to contribute and It's great seeing the strength of this special community based on how much has been given already.

Tee's Help

I wrote Tee once to get some advice on podcasting and, without fail, he responded to a complete stranger and helped me out.  I was fortunate enough to eventually meet Tee during your Contagious tour stop in D.C.  He was fantastic, funny, engaging and humble all at the same time.  Chipping in is the least I could do.

So sorry to hear about your loss Tee

Tee, I'm so sorry to hear about your family's tragic loss.  My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.  While that isn't much, know you aren't alone, you and your daughter have the love and caring a huge group of people.
